Nature and Wildlife  – Whether your hunting wildlife with your camera or just happen to be in the right place at the right time, capturing the many varieties of wildlife in our area on film is so rewarding. Trinidad is a year-round destination that piques the imagination and inspires the soul with its natural beauty. We are seeking photos that highlight our dramatic landscape and the natural beauty of our mountains, plains, rolling hills, rivers, and streams.

Arts and Culture – The arts encompasses visual arts, literary arts and the performing arts – music, theatre, dance, spoken word and film, it is the expression of creativity or imagination and there is no shortage of either in our community.  Capture this freedom of expression in art form on camera in our galleries, shops, theatres, museums, on the streets, in the alleys. Record for prosperity the culture of our community in its people, its history, its way of life.

Food & Drink & Shopping – Capture the food that deserves to be seen! Or, the staff and diners in that special restaurant setting. We are looking for enticing imagery that says, “Come dine with us!”  Make it fun, make it quirky, make it look so good, you can taste it!

Festivals, Events and Attractions – Looking for photos that translate the enjoyable experience to others; that capture the fun, the drama, the laughter experienced at local events such as Santa Fe Trail Days, Labor Day Rodeo, Cinco de Mayo, any of our fun parades, car shows, youth exhibits, rocket launches, robotics at the college, demolition derbies, skating rink, and so on.

Family fun – We want photos that show families, couples, children having fun, with the dog, with the babies, outdoors, indoors, the possibilities are endless!!

History and architecture -Photos of Trinidad’s history and architecture could be of any of our historic structures, landmarks, exhibits in our many museums, historic sites such as Ludlow, Kit Carson Park, the MSRH mural, Ave Maria Shrine, Coal Miners memorial, etc. Our archives has endless photos of these, so make your photo special as creatively as possible! This is where your talents will shine!!
