Due to precautionary measures taken for COVID-19 in the state of Colorado, visitors to Trinidad should be mindful that as of 4/28/20, Governor Polis has mandated a “Safer-at-home” order,  which entails the following: 

  • —Critical businesses are still open.
  • —Non-critical businesses are open with restrictions (call ahead to confirm hours of operation and further details).
  • —Stay at home as much as possible.
  • —Practice good hygiene. Wash your hands frequently and don’t touch your face.
  • —Wear a face covering or mask when you leave your home.
  • —Connect with neighbors and loved ones virtually.
  • —No in-person gatherings of more than 10 people.

Colorado Welcome Center

PLEASE NOTE: The Trinidad Welcome Center IS NOW OPEN. In the interest of public safety, all visitors are required to wear a mask and fill out a health questionnaire before entering.

Trinidad offers so many points of interest and activities; while this site provides information on many of them, additional support and information are available for visitors at Trinidad’s  Colorado Welcome Center. Knowledgeable staff provide destination information, routing suggestions, road conditions, weather information, and brochures and information on state and local points of interest. Fresh coffee, free WiFi, and indoor and outdoor eating areas are available, and a children’s play area, activity books, and a scavenger hunt will keep youngsters entertained. War Veterans memorials and bicycle rental /repair tools are also on site. Free Trolley tours shuttle visitors to the Historic downtown area for a 45 -minute tour from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Call 719-846-9512 for information during the hours listed or contact us using the form directly below.
