Dedicating of Temple Aaron as a National Historic Landmark

March 23 @ 11:00 am 8:00 pm MDT

11 am, and unveiling the plaque that will be mounted to the temple’s exterior. Thank you to Devon McFarland Arguello and Bob Noble for generously sponsoring this milestone event. Very special speakers will be joining us to celebrate this milestone.

  • Events are free and open to all. Donations gratefully accepted.
  • 10 am with a Shabbat service;
  • 11 am — Dedication ceremony,
  • Noon: buffet lunch catered by Alys’ Restaurant
  • Open house/tours to follow.
  • In the afternoon, please join us for:
  • 2-4 pm: grogger making – for kids and adults!
  • 6 -7 pm Havdalah service and Megillah reading
  • Costume parade from Temple Aaron to Main Street
  • 7:30 Live music/Purim party and celebration at the Trinidad Lounge (421 N. Commercial St) with the Hamantaschens and members of Gora Gora Orkestar. Allan AC Cutler will emcee and lead trivia games with prizes… don’t miss this party! Bring your costumes.

  • NOTE TO ALL VISITORS: The City of Trinidad will be blocking off some of the streets around the temple during March 23. You may park in one of the lots in town designated by the city, and there will be trolleys running continuously to bring you to the temple. Visitors can also park at the police station at Maple and 2nd St. and simply walk up the hill to the temple (2 blocks). Please allow some extra time for parking and making your way. The Shabbat service begins at 10 am and the dedication ceremony begins at 11 am.
