The City of Trinidad Tourism Department oversees the development, management, and promotion of tourism for Trinidad. Primary functions for the department include operating the Trinidad Welcome Center and managing visittrinidadcolorado.com.
Funding for tourism is provided through a portion of the 3% City of Trinidad lodging tax that is administered by the city. With these dollars the city supports projects and campaigns to improve the Trinidad visitor experience and resident quality of life while preserving its unique cultural heritage and natural environment.

The City of Trinidad maintains various resources and programs to support tourism businesses and organizations, promote visitor experiences, and guide visitors to explore unique and authentic Trinidad experiences safely and responsibly. Tourism businesses and organizations are invited to explore the following resources and services provided by the city.
The Lodging Tax Advisory Board is composed of five volunteer members, with the purpose to study, investigate, and advise the City Council as to the development and promulgation of policies for the implementation, support and use of revenues derived from lodging tax revenues. The Board may also advise on other policy-related matters related to tourism as requested from time to time by the City Council.
