Wake with excitement because you’re headed to Monument Lake Resort! Rent canoes, kayaks, or a pontoon to explore. The lake, with stunning views of snow-capped mountains and vast open skies, is perfect for casting a line and pulling in brown and rainbow trout and kokanee salmon.

Back in Trinidad, a toddler wading pool, an impressive 140-foot "flume" slide, and a lap pool await at the Family Aquatic Center.

With high elevations and low humidity, Trinidad Lake State Park, or for the more adventurous, Fishers Peak, is home to some of the best stargazing around. Find a comfy place to plop down, stare up in awe, and enjoy the cool Colorado night air.
