If these walls could talk…

This luxurious hotel once boasted nearly 100 rooms, an impressive terrazzo-floored lobby, a lavish saloon, a ballroom decorated in the rococo style – and a bevy of famous guests. Visitors included President Herbert and Mrs. Lou Hoover, Douglas Fairbanks and his wife Mary Pickford, and Will Rogers, among others.

It also served as a headquarters for the Colorado State Militia during the Colorado Coalfield War in 1914.
