Can you make the grade? Challenge yourself on this annual road bike ride along one of Colorado’s most beautiful scenic highways.
The out-and-back ride covers 102 miles, gaining 7,500 feet in elevation. The route follows the Highway of Legends Scenic Byway, climbs to the top of Cucharas Pass at 9,945’ and includes stops in Stonewall and Segundo. Then, the route reverses and you’ll encounter the back side of Cucharas Pass – known as the “Soul Crusher” – before a 17-mile descent into La Veta.
