View an incredible visualization of Trinidad’s history through this 3D ceramic mural in the lobby of Mt. San Rafael Hospital.
Designed and facilitated by Sister Augusta Zimmer, a Sister of Charity, the piece spans 28 feet by 12 feet and took four years to complete.
The mural traces the arrival of Spanish traders and their journey up the Purgatoire River while honoring the faces of Trinidad’s founders. It also depicts coal miners, railroading history, and other significant landmarks.
