Tucked near the headwaters of the Purgatoire River in the Culebra Range of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, this primitive campground features two loops. One is a spacious grassy meadow with sites to accommodate equestrian campers. The other is a wooded area with aspen and spruce. Both RV and tent camping are permitted.
Capture mountain vistas along the 5-mile trail starting at the north end of the campground. Or relax in the solitude along the river and cast for trout.
