Embark on both historic and contemporary artistic frontiers at “The Mitch.”
Located in the iconic Jamieson’s Department Store, the museum celebrates the work and legacy of Arthur Roy (A.R.) Mitchell, renowned as the king of pulp Western cover art. His illustrations graced the covers of popular Western magazines across the country. The galleries also display American West, Native American, Hispanic Folk, and religious artwork, and host rotating exhibits.
Don’t forget to admire the museum itself as a work of art. Spot the pressed tin ceilings and horseshoe-shaped mezzanine!
