Colorado’s premier gravel cycling race! Experience the challenges the Pony Express riders faced in the 1860s as they sped across the remote West. Choose the 85K (50 miles) event, which is the USACycling Colorado State Gravel Grinder Championship, or test your endurance in the 160K (100 miles) and 50K (30 miles) distances.

The Trinidad & Las Animas County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce hosts a day filled with food, muscle cars, horseshoe and cornhole games, music, vendors, and children’s entertainment on Main Street in downtown Trinidad.

Honor all those who’ve served with a parade downtown followed by a ceremony and BBQ at Jay Cimino Downtown Park.

JUNE
Have a boot-stompin’ good time at this festival celebrating Trinidad’s history! See live entertainment and enjoy an obstacle course, carnival games, a duck race in the Purgatoire, and more. Thrill-seekers can check out the water slide and zipline!

JULY
Get ready for star-spangled celebrations in Trinidad’s Central Park! Enjoy floats and honor our veterans in the dry parade. Then, spray back floats with water guns in a splash-tastic water parade. Other festivities include bike decorating and hot dog eating contests, free watermelon, and the Independence Day Triggers game. Then, cap off the day with a live fireworks display!

AUGUST
Monument Lake Resort hosts this spectacular festival under the majestic, high-altitude wilderness of southeastern Colorado. Take in the best of Americana music while enjoying fishing, hiking, and boating. The resort offers a range of on-site lodging accommodations.

SEPTEMBER
Join us at Las Animas County Fairgrounds for a classic Western rodeo! This annual event – over 100 years strong – features a sanctioned rodeo, along with a Labor Day parade, Western dancing, beer garden, vendors, and booths.

Life Time’s newest event! Scale the towering, rugged Spanish Peaks and expansive mesas on one of three gravel cycling courses: a 40-miler, 70-miler, or 110-miler.

Year-round, enjoy plays, musicals, and entertainment – all in the “The Famous” department store constructed in the early 1900s. Purchase tickets on their website.
