Driving Here
From Denver and the Front Range: Take I-25 South for about 200 miles. Trinidad is off of Exit 15.
From Santa Fe and beyond: Take I-25 North from Santa Fe for about 200 miles. Trinidad is off of Exit 13B from I-25 N.
Riding the Train
Choo-choose to leave the car behind, and take in the grandeur of the American West by train! Amtrak’s Southwest Chief runs through Trinidad’s historic downtown and follows parts of the Santa Fe Trail on its journey from Chicago to Los Angeles and back. Other major city stops include Kansas City, Albuquerque, and Flagstaff.
Please note: Trinidad’s Amtrak station has a covered waiting area and is unstaffed. Be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before departure.
Flying
The nearest major airports to Trinidad are Denver International Airport (210 miles // about 3 hours), Colorado Springs Airport (126 miles // about 2 hours), and Pueblo Memorial Airport (94 miles // about 90 minutes).

Taking the Bus
Bustang Colorado Regional Bus Services: Bustang Outrider services a Trinidad to Pueblo route with stops in Aguilar, Walsenburg, and Colorado City.
Greyhound Trailways: The Greyhound can bring you to Trinidad from northern points like Pueblo, Colorado Springs, and Denver and from points south, including Albuquerque.
EV Charging
Trinidad has four EV charging stations, all open 24 hours. The Blink station is at the Hilton Garden Inn on Americana Road. Electrify America has a station at the Walmart on Toupal Drive. Tesla Supercharger has a station on the Santa Fe Trail and Charge Point is just outside the city center on E. Main Street.
